Jurassic Hour #14: Contraband, I Wanna Hold Ya
Apr 01
The Gameodactyl explains in this episode why he eliminated a bevy of stress-inducing complications in his life, Facebook and quasi-professional writing among them.
While he was pruning, I became pretty damn frightened (for purely selfish reasons, of course) that he was going to give up games as well. I can’t speak for the other guys, but the reason I keep Gameosaurus and the Jurassic Hour operational is because it keeps me connected to two of my favorite people, and it gives me an outlet to talk about the stuff I love. The exposure (such as it is) and the portfolio-building exercises are totally secondary.
So it came as no small relief to hear that the Gameodactyl remains committed to our hobby and interested in blogging here, as time permits.
And does time ever permit in this episode! We put a lid on DRAGON AGE II, the DS version of DRAGON QUEST VI and choose-your-own-adventure puzzler 999: NINE HOURS, NINE PERSONS, NINE DOORS. Pat Himes breaks off a piece of SHOGUN 2, and I whine about DISSIDIA 012: DUODECIM FINAL FANTASY before enthusing about it, CRYSIS 2 and, yes, THE SIMS: MEDIEVAL.

Jurassic Hour #14: Contraband, I Wanna Hold Ya

I feel like I dropped off the PS2 in a blue plastic bag.
Also, Crysis 2 runs great on my system. I upped the processor and ram recently, but it’s still anchored by a measly 4770. But I’m only running it on a 23-inch display.
I’m sure you did, and I remember you bringing it back. I’m thinking I lent it to somebody else, but I can’t imagine whom.
